Very enjoyable experience

We did not arrive until 10pm but staff were very helpful.

Car park to the rear of the hotel was very convenient. The hotel has an excellent location and we had lovely views from our bedroom window. Rooms are small but from reading other reviews this is not unusual for hotels in Oxford. Breakfast was very good and relaxed. We would definitly stay here again we had a relaxing and very enjoyable break - thank you.

Great location but pricey

We had a room over the courtyard so no view to enjoy.

Felt the room was small and boxy for the money we paid. Basically you are paying for the location

Hotel was nice but certainly not worth £350 per night + Breakfast at £29 which is what we were charged in advance to find the most expensive breakfast on the day was £15.

The service was average at best and on more than 1 occasion things were forgotten or had run out completely. the rooms were never 4* rooms and I have stayed in far better 3* Hotels with more facilities and better service. The Manager was very good at listening to our complaints and refunded us £50 but as the 2 night stay was £964.

Wonderful Oxford visit

This was a lovely stay for us, the staff could not have been more kind or helpful, They were also knowledgable about times and places to visit.

We would have appreciated more directions in getting to the hotel, after 2 attempts to get to it without infringing Oxfords byzantine street rules, on the third attempt we finally arrived and still incurred a £30 fine . The room was excellent, warm, well appointed, excellent views and the original paintings were an added delight. The bathroom was equally well designed, comfortable, a good supply of hot water good quality, and amount of towels and 2 sinks . what a boon . We had an evening meal at Quods, the hotels restaurant--the food was ok, but service was very slow and the price of vegetables was not included in the price. This meant the food was slightly over-priced for what it was, and the service addition to the bill was not warranted. The breakfast was very good indeed, although kippers, though advertised, were not available. The service was pleasant and accurate but, again, very slow. I suspect there were not enough staff on either during the evening we were there or at breakfast. Overall, our stay was excellent, we would most certainly stay at the Old Bank again,it was very well run, every-one we met was helpful, courteous and efficient. We would not, however, eat again at the restaurant for an evening meal.
