Used for a one night business stop over this hotel worked out well for me.
My only problem was the contestant him of traffic from the nearby motorway. The staff were all attentive and the food excellent. The room was clean, well equipped and bed comfortable.
Country Hotel in lovely setting.
Lovely hotel with well maintained gardens in country village.
Very friendly and helpful staff. We had afternoon tea for 27 people for a birthday celebration and then stayed overnight. Quality of tea and service were very good. Choice of breakfast menu very good. Near (within a mile) of motorway so easy to find but some guests may prefer to be further away from traffic noise. We didn't find noise intrusive and our window had heavy curtains and double glazing to help with sound proofing.
M4 very noisy could not have windows open at night which made the room very hot, they did give us a fan when we told reception.
Food was nice in the restaurant but not good value for money and they did not give you exactly what was on the menu.
Stanton Manor Hotel
Lovely old Manor style house with later extension.
My room was in the later addition so just like any other room of a similar type I've stayed in. Would be worth booking a room in the old part of the hotel. Food was good, although service (particularly at Dinner) was slow. Beautiful gardens but the noise from the very close M4 does slightly spoil the experience. But, a nice place and I would book again. Staff were very friendly.
One of my favourites.
would visit again and also recommend.
The staff were friendly and relaxed and even explained that there was a private party at the hotel.
We were told that it was unlikely that the noise from the party would bother us but it would finish at midnight, we didn't here a thing. Would recommend it and book again if we are in the area.
very friendly staff, nice room , food good, everything fits comfortably into the 3 star rating.
Small but nice
I have stayed at the Stanon Manor many times, this was the first time in a single room.
The room was functional but too small and a little dated. I had to work, the desk was cramped as the TV was also on it. The double rooms I have stayed in before are all very good, so I was a little dsappointed with the room.
