Enjoyable stop over at the Peacock
It was a pleasure to stay at the Peacock. My stay was a quick one-nighter, breaking my journey on the way to a morning business meeting in London. The location was convenient for me being easily accessed from the M40 and 1 hour into west London in the morning. Quiet and relaxing surroundings, a warm welcome, excellent food and a decent beer in the bar.
My room was fairly small but adequate for my stay and was recently decorated, clean and well maintained. A very comfortable night's stay and a great breakfast offered a little earlier than normal breakfast start time because I had mentioned I wanted to make an early start.
WiFi being available in the bar and lounge but not in the room was only a minor inconvenience.
Good value for money - highly recommended.

Very friendly and excellent food. Just a little expensive for us as working men but the area does seem to be very similar in price. On that note it is good value. We will definitely stay again.

Friendly welcome. Room large & clean with country views-even cows in the field outside our window! Bathroom clean and modern. Had trouble with the TV, but phoned reception who arrived within 2 minutes with a smile. Breakfast good and quick service again with great staff.

Room was clean and nicely presented. Although the TV didn't work initially without us needing to unplug everything and reboot, even then the channels weren't consistent and lost signal frequently.
However, the breakfast was very nice and more than expected. The staff and owners were all pleasant and polite and genuine.
Thank you.

A great privately owned country inn
Hand made beds, friendly welcome, great food. Will be using The Peacock again and recommending it as our company's go to hotel when staying in the Aylesbury area. Budget is always a concern with business travel. As a rule we always look for the most reasonable price when booking. This room cost £55 for bed and breakfast through Late Rooms and I have to say it has been the best overnight stay I've experienced while traveling for work.
Something went wrong with the booking process (maybe Late Rooms, maybe our procurement dept!) and my room was reserved for the week following my arrival date. The hotel owner made sure I had a room anyway and said he would give up his room if he had to to accommodate my stay. You won't get that kind of service from an Ibis. Support this hotel, you won't be disappointed. I look forward to my next stay.
