Give this one a big miss. The worst DeVere Hotel Group hotel I've stayed in.
The room had a rateable value of @ £350/nt.
The room had dirty paintwork and no toiletries other than hand dispensers that can be found in any Travel-Lodge or Premier Inn. The curtains were not full black-out curtains which let light into the room @ 04:45am. The evening meal was very late in being served and took almost 2hrs to serve a x2 course meal to X3 people. A person in our party ordered a steak which was under-ccoked and then over-cooked. This particular persons meal was not paid for as the value of the food and quality of the service was extremely poor. The breakfast was again of poor quality with a "budget" food type offering of what appeared to be low quality.
No more than travel lodge accommodation and for the steep price not really worth it.
Hotel room was basic, pullout sofa bed for children was uncomfortable.
Accommodation relatively basic, toiletries very basic. For the price paid I would have expected better. Leisure facilities ok but for a short stay wouldn't pay the difference in price and cheaper accommodation of same standard as room.
Happy to return
I have stayed at this hotel twice before and was glad to see that what we liked about it has not changed.
We travel to Kent for our granddaughter , and the location is just right . The hotel has a family friendly feel and the space that children require. The breakfasts are still good quality with choice. Location wise it is ideal to visit zoos etc and a lovely walk along the river is always enjoyed by all the family. I would and have, recommended this hotel and location
I was underwhelmed by the hotel in general and thought the room was tired in decor and furniture.
I will never stay there again. I checked into the Premier inn next door the following night. That was a great hotel, value for money and the room was 100% better. I have no further comment.
