Nice location in centre of the Village
Lots of carparking through the arch and out the back. Rooms were clean and tidy but a little dated. Not a busy place, so feel it was a little on the expensive side for just a room with no breakfast. Restaurant dinner was good and the staff helpful and friendly.
We booked this hotel because we like historic buildings .
We were greeted by a lovely helpful receptionist and nothing was toouch trouble. The room we were given was in the main part of the hotel which we were pleased with. It was very clean and comfortable with everything you need. Breakfast was excellent lots of choice and they even cayered for my gluten free diet , bonus as not everywhere does.
Clean quiet and comfortable.
home from home
On arrival the receptionist was very polite and helpful as you would expect from a hotel chain of this standard...the room was nice and airy but the shower curtain stank,,,,quick chat with the receptionist and it was changed post haste...now thats what I call service....
Spent the night with my partner in a room in the garden block at the rear of the hotel.
Everything was as one would expect, with no nasty surprises. It was quiet and relaxing, and there were no problems with the shower in the morning (low water pressure not found here!)
The breakfast was comprehensive and well worth the £10 charge.
