A Warm welcome awaits, rooms comfortable and met our needs. Food well presented. will return
I found the service at this hotel to be exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all queries and request were deal with in a friendly and professional manner. The twin room we had was comfortable and clean. I unfortunately became rather unwell during the night and the help I recieved from the night receptionist was above and beyond anything i could of expected. Not only did he persist in getting me the medicial help i required which eventually got me the hospital attenion i needed, but offered reassurance to myself and my elderly mother. I was extremley grateful and will ensure should i return to Clacton i stay in this hotel.

Wont be staying again
All in all quite a terrible hotel. A travel a fair amount for work so have therefore stayed in a few hotels and this is by far the worst i have had the displeasure of staying in. The Manager didnt seem interested or to care about the hotel residents, the hotel itself was quite dilapidated and my room, supposedly one of the better ones, was quite horrible. The bathroom was atrocious with a horrible and tiny shower cubicle that needed ripping out. The water trickled out of the shower and everytime i stepped back i hit the tap and turned it off.
The breakfast was not good. When i asked for porridge the staff member seemed to have never heard of it, safe to say it wasnt an option. I stuck with just toast one morning as the full english didnt look great and the scrambled eggs i had were not good previously.
The free parking that they advertise was in fact a 5 space maximum car park and rear of hotel, so never any space. Without sounding snobbish to top it off the hotel is in Clacton, a place i wouldnt go to unless for work, like this stay. I shall certainly not be staying again and would advise others not to unless changes are made, and quite a few at that.
