Reviews - The Old Bridge Hotel

4Visit England Assessed Town House Hotel Ratings explained
1, High Street , Huntingdon, PE29 3TQ
Old Bridge is a handsome, ivy-clad, 18th century townhouse hotel. It sits on the banks of the River Ouse, but also on the edge of the town centre. Its atmosphere balances that of a professionally run 'boutique' hotel and a relaxed, bustling inn; a popular destination; for both the local community and visitors to the area.
It is a privately owned and run and has won 4 Stars and a Gold Award from visit Britain for 5 years in a row. It is rated highly by all hotels and food guides and has twice won the award for the best restaurant wine list in the UK. There is a wine shop on site with 24 bottles always open to taste.
The busy restaurant is open every day and snacks and room service are available 24 hours.

A great place to stay or just to go for a meal
The Old Bridge hotel is full of character both inside and out. We had a superior double room which was lovely and had a great bathroom with oversize bath and a double shower. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and the food was excellent . All the staff we met were eager to help and very proffesional . Would definitely go back

Excellent accommodation
Highly recommend this hotel. Staff were very helpful, professional and pleasant. The room was exceptional, good size, lovely bed, fresh milk, very quiet despite proximity of trunk road. Both dinner and breakfast were superb. Would recommend it to stay and will return if I need a hotel in this area again.

A great dog-friendly hotel!!
So few hotels are willing to accept dogs. I found that my pet was made welcome so that made our stay very relaxed.

Classical hotel in very good condition and with friendly and efficient service. Room however rather small with no view of the pleasant gardens. Sound proofing good as oudoor traffic noise would have been unwelcome
.Expect to pay high prices. A small bowl of nuts was nearly Pounds 4- which one would expected to be complimentary with a drinks order.

Excellent hotel
Not a great location traffic and motoway noise wise, but once inside you are transported to a better place. Very nice room and an excellent evening meal made this an enjoyable experience, and if you are into wine there is an enormous choice and a shop to take home a few bottles if you so desire.

Room facilities were okay but in places a little shabby and not as clean as should have been.
Service fantastic and all staff very good. In particular Nicola with regards to accommodation. Food excellent as usual.
