Enjoyable stay but expensive
We stayed here recently after attending a wedding on site.
It was a very nice venue for the wedding and though very busy (there was a charity dinner going on on site the same day) staff were still attentive and everything seemed to run smoothly. The facilities (pool and spa) and service/food at breakfast time were good but pretty standard for the type of place and again, very busy with guests so not as relaxed as we might have wanted had we come specifically for a spa break. We were upgraded from a superior double room to a small mews suite which was a nice quiet room with posh facilities (eg a nespresso machine, access to a communal hot tub). All in all we had a really enjoyable stay but felt it really is expensive for what it is. The upgraded room made it OK for what we paid.
Wonderful hotel, beautiful rooms, incredible service.
Would definitely recommend it to anyone!
The hotel is beautiful, it's clear that a lot of thought was put into the design.
The staff were very polite and accommodating. The food was exceptional.
It was such a wonderful place to stay the staff were so welcoming & so helpful the room was beautiful & very comfortable it was very much home from home
Should be 5 star !

Albans has a gem .
great customer service
Shame only one jacuzzi was working did not get a chance to use it
We stayed here to celebrate my husband's birthday.
I requested ground floor bedroom or one near a lift because he has mobility problems, and on arrival we had been upgraded to one of the mews suites which was perfect. Very helpful staff, lovely food, beautifully clean accommodation. The only downside for me was the poached eggs for breakfast were not cooked to order, so were hard instead of nice and runny. But overall, a lovely stay.
We ordered some chips as a snack and the regular skinny fries were not that hot and definitely not crispy.
The same goes for the sweet potato fries which is rather disappointing at £4 per portion...
Taking my elderly Mother for a break
This wasa great hotel, if you have lots of money and wanta pool.
The pool was bigger than usual and the reflective ceitling meant even if crowded, you do not bump into one another. Swimming at 8.30 am was fine at 9 it got more crowded, as the public came. I got out at that point for breakfast which was fine, pricey, and good quality. the fruit was not perfectly ripe, being winter, ?the cooked breakfast was fab. I said I was bringing my old mum, and she was treated well witha chair to wheel her about in the garden. It would have been good to have been reminded about it sooner, because also we had a room which was a long way from the one lift, so remeber to ask fora room near the lift if someone in the party has mobility issues. Really the staff were fantastic, particularly Tony. My mum loves wine and thought the glass of New Zealand white we tried was excellent. The flowers were great, and formal with a great pool.
Great welcome and attention to detail.
