OK Room but cold

The room was acceptable at the price but some heating would have been nice.

only good thing about this hotel is the location

To be honest this is the worst hotel that my girlfriend and I have stayed in , we always book a budget hotel as we just want somewhere to stay after a night out in Brighton.

We are not normally that fussy but do expect a certain standard. The room was small and cold and as with the hotel in great need for a complete makeover . It was not worth the £60 for the night.

Worst hotel I have every stayed in!

As stated above.

Place seemed to be falling to bits. We arrived early and were given a surly welcome, not very happy about us leaving our bags until check-in time. One of our party had called the day prior to arrival to check this and the lady who answered the door eventually agreed that we could dump bags in the hall. Rooms disgusting: peeling, flaking paint everywhere, base of beds stained (didn't dare look at the mattress!) blinds broken, toilet seat broken. Didn't get much sleep as we were in a room right next to the front door with people going in and out all night, noisy, banging the door, clattering up and down stairs etc. wouldn't have minded if the standard of the hotel was reflected in the price: £140. what a rip off. breakfast not even included - not that I would have wanted to eat there anyway. Be warned don't stay here!!

Nice place for the price until I realised the toilet wasn't cleaned :/

All was good for the price but I was very disappointed that the toilet, especially the seat wasn't cleaned.

short weekend

the location is great if you want to be near the sea/Madeira drive,so is the opportunity to park at the front of the hostel, it should be called Sandalwood Hostel not a Hotel, the room was dreadful, grubby along with nasty stains on the valance although the bed appeared clean and was comfortable enough.Very expensive, for what it was, I could have gone to a real hotel for the money they had tried to charged me!.

my thoughts

this hotel is ok if you are not bothered about customer service and just want a bed for the night

Not good value for money.

I would not recommend that you stay here. It is central, but very very basic accommodation. The shower did not really work and was in a cupboard, the room was shabby. The blinds did not work.

Thank you.

It was comfortable and the night was quiet and nice, but to take a shower I had difficulty to manage the control of the hot water, I took a shower barely with a cold water. I need to ask a receipt for my payment, finally I received.

Decent Enough

It was nothing special, but we didn't need it to be.

It was perfect for somewhere to crash.
