Good Service - Dreadful Food & Facilities!
The bedroom was badly decorated. Paint was flaking off the ceiling in the shower and the bathroom was in a filthy state with cobwebs, along with several spiders, all in the shower and bathroom.
The service from the young team was friendly and pleasant but the standards of the facilities let them down dramatically.
The food (rump steak ordered medium rare with no tomato) arrived 40 minutes after it was ordered and whilst it was medium rare it was the toughest steak i have ever had the misfortune to eat. I had to give up halfway through due to fatigue and jaw ache!
The food was so bad that even with breakfast paid for I decided to let it pass. I would have complained on checking out but was never asked about my stay and to be perfectly honest I was in a hurry and couldn't be bothered with the hassle of complaining.
Not a place I would ever recommend.

Needs a good clean!
From the hotels reviews I was very disappointed. The room was dark, dated and had obviously not been cleaned! The bathroom had old dirty towels, 1 shower cap & some body lotion, oh and other guest hair left in the bath and around the basin! Bedding was grey and the pillows were so old & uncomfortable. Walls are paper thin and could not sleep due to the noise next door.
Did not even bother staying for breakfast as I just wanted to go.
Not worth the money at all!

Absolutely Fabulous Ice Cream
If you like ice cream, real home made ice cream which is so smooth and creamy that it lingers on the palette and slowly melts away with chocolate fudge brownies to match then this is the place to go.
From my experience the pictures do not do the hotel justice, it is a small what I would call bijou hotel and if you are looking for a romantic getaway then this is the place to go. Staff are extremely helpful and I would have no hesitation in going back for a second visit.

Well worth staying at the Millhouse hotel
Although the hotel and restuarant are small, the overall experience was something the bigger hotels could learn a lot from. I would certainly look to stay and eat at The Millhouse hotel again.
