Good quality individual hotel

Just what we wanted for a 1 night stay.

Shame the restaurant wasn't open on a Sunday evening so we could not try the food. They did recommend a pub a very short walk up the road and that was very good too.

Great place to stay

The hotel staff were really accommodating as we needed to check in quite late in the evening.

The building is very interesting with lots of original features and plenty of character. Our room was clean and spacious with very comfortable beds and it was really quiet at night so we got a good sleep. A fan was provided in the room and lots of little extras like quality biscuits and toiletries. All staff were friendly and helpful, finding an iphone charger for my son to use when he asked. Breakfast was delicious. All in all, a lovely place, definitely recommended.

Really excellent , lovely refurbished place , excellent friendly staff, lovely setting

I really recommend this place - have no reservations .

Only an idiot would not like it here . Staff really lovely. I had worn two odd boots by mistake and had a really good bit of banter with them as to the waitressess and bar staff . The place was very clean , loved the decor and the food was devine - well done 10/10

Staff were friendly and welcoming, also very helpful. The room was mainly clean and comfortable.

Rooms in the main house would not be suitable for someone with mobility difficulties, but the rooms in the annex appeared to have easily accessible.

Rooms were clean and comfortable on the whole (except for a cobweb in the lampshade of the bedside lamp) although there were some minor problems requiring maintenance.

Nice, but coud be better

Nice hotel in a brilliant location.

Some of the staff were helpful but others not so. There was no towel in my room, a final check round should be carried out after prep of the rooms.

Had our evening meal there, food was very expensive and portion sizes are small.

Service Equivalent of a top London Hotel but with the right amount of friendliness

We arrived later than planned due to traffic and upon calling, the Manager was very kind, ensuring we could still get a meal and helped us quickly to the room as my Son was sleeping.

This establishment is obviously very well managed and the gentleman who seemed to be the Manager was very pleasant, professional and charming. All the staff were very efficient and kind. Room was lovely and very good value, food was great, woudl definitley return. Thanks to all!

This is the best hotel close to the M25 in Hertfordshire

This hotel is warm and friendly.

Just had a recent refurb and it was great before. The best food available in the area.

Bedford Arms

The room was very good and comfortable, but though we booked for 2 people there was only one bath towel.

This was soon remedied by the manager. It's a nice looking place and looks like a traditional English country pub, though it doesn't really have that feeling once you're inside. The bar area is fitted out with tables and chairs, which take away the comfortable pub feeling that a place like this should have. The food is good, though a little expensive. This is definitely not a drinkers pub. The bar staff are pleasant, though impersonal, and the price of drinks will scorch your wallet. Like most hotels around the London area it isn't run by English people.
