Good value B&B
Good B&B, with convivial host Martin.
Great breakfast with locally sourced produce.
Very friendly host, really went out of their way to make us comfortable.
Excellent Value for Money, Excellent Customer Service
A comfortable overnight stay and a hearty breakfast.
I only suggest that the front door should have a message directing guests to the side entrance, which is not obvious from the road.
One of the best
Absolutely enjoyed the stay and even got a free room upgrade from single to double when the owner heard that it's a special day for me (son being born).
The room was nice and there was also breakfast included in the price, although I was always out before they started.
Stayed in room 3 on ground floor, which is next to the front door.
Sadly some guests decided to use this door in the early hours, rather than the guest door, and were very noisy. Martin, the owner was very apologetic for this. Fabulous power shower, and comfortable room, which was restocked with tea and biscuits during our stay. Good choice of breakfast, and Martin also cooked me an omelette on request.
Warm & Welcoming
I found Park warm and welcoming the owner martin made everyone welcome and nothing was to much trouble.
I had a single ensuite room the bed was very comfortable with tea & coffee facilities.
Good breakfast menu to choose from and nothing was to much trouble . I would highy recommend this guest house.
Overall stay was enjoyable, comfy beds, great bathroom facilities, shame about the cobwebs on light fitting.
Felt very safe with the 'fobbing in' method. Great breakfast menu, shame we ran out of milk but it was quickly sorted. Within walking distance to a nice pub and local shops.
Excellent accommodation spotlessly clean all bedrooms were tastefully decorated and well furnished with crisp white bed linen.
The rooms all had, tea & coffee facilities and a flat screen TV. The dining room was again bright and airy with an excellent breakfast menu offered plenty of variety for us to choose from, I found Martin the owner to be very accommodating and informative about things to do and visit in the local area. I would highly recommend Park Lodge .
This felt more like a working mens hostel than a B&B, with lots of rooms crammed in, although the dining room was in a new and attractive extension.
On arrival I was greeted in the car park but felt pressurised as I was trying to sort out a few things in the car before coming in. My single room was very small, although clean and adequate. I was asked to bring my own soya milk as the expense of them providing it just for me would eat in to their meagre profit. (The room wasn't THAT cheap!). I wouldn't go here again; it sufficed but wasn't a great experience.
