The outside of hotel is very run down. The bedroom was very nice. We felt the owner was struggling.
Adequate, but unspectacular
Room adequate, and quiet.
Good size (roomy) accommodation, with standard double bed - it was a soft bed (as others have remarked on). En-suite bathroom... but, was provisioned with only one(?) towel. (It was late, and we only were staying one night, otherwise we would have had that addressed.)
Staff were pleasant, and the Full English breakfast was quite good. It was easy to find on the A4 (and quite convenient for our visit), but we probably won't repeat visit as the bed was unlike what we are used to, and consequently we didn't sleep quite so well or were as refreshed the next (long) day as we had hoped.
