value for moneywe arrived
we arrived at 10pm after travelling from turkey and the man on reception was very welcoming and pleasant.
the room and bathroom were large and clean.the bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. the cost of the room was very reasonable and suited our purpose.
Staff were somewhat helpful and friendly but the room (and hotel in general) looked tired and in desperate need or redecoration.
It turns out that the restaurant that is advertised on their website is only available when coach parties are in (I was treated to a long moan from the receptionist about how they were throwing hundreds of pounds worth of food away because nobody eat there) and yet they serve a full English breakfast in the morning at £7.50 a go - even though it is suggested the breakfast is included in the price of the room (makes me think what they would do if only one person was staying there - would they not cook anything in case they wasted money?). Also thought it was a complete cheek that they charged guests £5 a day for parking on Fridays and Saturdays. I would have preferred that they charged an extra £10 on the price of the room and offered free parking and breakfast and then they could at least use that extra money to buy some paint and wallpaper.
