About the hotel
The Comfort Hotel Luton is right in the heart of Luton, within 10 minutes of London Luton Airport and the M1, and just 25 minutes by train from central London. The Comfort Hotel Luton offers excellent business facilities, free Wi-Fi and a superb location, right in the city centre and just metres from Luton Railway Station. Trains run regularly to the heart of London.
The Comfort Hotel Luton houses 44 bedrooms set in a historical period building, across 3 floors. All rooms are accessible from the main reception area and have a uniform decor. The hotel also offers free Parking on Premises - allocated on a first come first serve basis. The hotel is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and our friendly members of staff are always on hand to assist. Guests are able to check in after 1pm anytime and check-out is at 11am on the day of departure. Early check-in can be arranged if requested pending on availability on the day of arrival. The Comfort Hotel Luton offers guests the chance to relax in the coffee and lounge bar, open every day offering an extensive range of coffees, teas and beverages as well as wines, beers and spirits. The comfortable furniture, relaxing ambience and pleasant surroundings also makes this venue ideally suited as a meeting place for business people, or simply for guests to enjoy sporting events or the news on the TV screens. The hotel will only accept bookings if the credit/debit card holder's name is the same as the guest name. The card used to book is charged at time of booking and must be provided at check-in along with a photo ID. Any change in payment methods will incur a 10% charge if a refund needs to be made to the cardholders card. If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, 100 percent of the first night will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged. The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking. All non-UK citizens to provide a passport ID. Please not the hotel does not have an elevator/lift.

Convenient location with free parking.
Generally this hotel would be fine at the budget end for a business stopover. However, on returning to my room after dinner I discovered a leak in the ceiling constantly dripping heavily onto the carpet. I informed staff and was told they were fully booked and couldn't offer me another room. By now it was getting on for 9.00 in the evening, And I didn't hold out much hope of finding another hotel. I had also had a couple of drinks with dinner and didn't want to risk driving so was a little stuck. The receptionist rang the manager and mentioned "the leak" so I knew it was a problem they already knew about. He said I could only have a refund if I didn't stay in the room. However he eventually agreed to a 50% refund. I was told someone had fixed the leak that day, but when I looked again I saw the the "fix" was just masking tape stuck onto the ceiling. (This came down with a rush of water at about three in the morning.) approach this place with caution.
Not at all comfortable
I had a terrible experience at this hotel.
It was far from comfortable and did not live up to its name. The room was too hot, only had one small,fan to cool it. Was noisy, right next to London mainline station and by the bus station. My room was right over a busy traffic junction too. The bed was uncomfortable I could feel the springs digging in my back despite sleeping on top of the duvet. The worse part of this room was a leaky ceiling which was really annoying with a constant and increasing dripping noise throughout my nights stay. I had a terrible nights sleep because being constantly woken during the night with the dripping water, all of which didn't help me as I had an important business event to run the next day.
I complained and was given two towels to soak up the dripping water, and a complimentary drink by the duty staff as the manager had gone home. Unfortunately the hotel was full so I could not be offered a new room. I complained again the next morning at the reception and was told I couldn't get a refund as the manager was the only one who could do this and he wasn't there yet. This was definitely NOT a three star experience.
