Lovely hotel

We were in Ayr for a wedding and decided to book in at Fairfield as the pictures made it look so nice (the pictures dont do it any justice).

We wished we had booked for a second night to take it what was around the hotel and also use the leisure facilities. We will definitely be back after the new year.

Friendly, well-priced hotel

Went for a leisure break to take in Ayr races.

Very friendly staff. Old building with long walk to room through twisting corridors and 3 flights of stairs but room itself extremely spacious and bed comfortable. Extremely large bathroom with big bath and separate shower cubicle with plenty of hot water. Good continental breakfast selection but I found the cooked breakfast items very greasy. Dinner was pleasant. The hotel has a lovely comfortable conservatory where we enjoyed a fantastic value cream tea for 2 at under £10 and really was one of the best I've had with fresh warm scones x 2 each all beautifully presented. The hotel has a gym and pool but I didn't visit. All in all I thought the hotel was very pleasant, certainly good value, well-situated and I would return.
