About the hotel

The Cotswold Lodge Hotel is a country mansion-style hotel situated in a quiet conservation area, near Oxford University Parks, just under 2 miles off the A40 and one mile away from Oxford train station. This AA 4 star central Oxford hotel provides the perfect base from which to explore the historic city, whether you are staying here for business or pleasure.

The hotel’s elegant Victorian architecture contains 49 well equipped, comfortable bedrooms, a mixture of Oxford twins, kings, singles and doubles, as well as 10 feature rooms retaining the distinctive architectural features of the original building.

All rooms include an en-suite, direct dial telephone, free high speed wireless broadband internet connection, tea and coffee making facilities and satellite television. Feature rooms have especially luxurious furnishings with half tester beds and Italian marble in the bathrooms.

From the restaurant to the terraces and bar, the Cotswold Lodge Hotel can cater for parties large and small. The elegant Restaurant 66a serves British and Continental dishes in an elegant but relaxed setting, taking pride in using fresh, local produce – some of which comes from the owner’s own farm. They have recently been awarded an AA Rosette for their fabulous food. Guests can also relax in the Bar, where you can enjoy not only an evening aperitif or digestif, but also morning coffee, afternoon tea and bar meals – the bar menu offers smaller dishes and lighter bites, and is great for a quick snack or casual meal.

Situated in the middle of a quiet conservation area, our guests can take advantage of Oxford's many attractions at their leisure. With easy access to the M40, amongst other transport links, guests can easily reach a number of national parks nearby, such as The Cotswolds or The Chilterns, and explore to their heart’s content. Staying closer to the hotel, there is plenty to do nearby too – the hotel is a stone’s throw from The Bodleian Library, the University Museum of Natural History, Christ Church Cathedral, The Sheldonian Theatre and Blenheim Palace. With Oxford city centre being only a 10 minute walk away, you could also while away the day exploring the lively arts scene, intriguing shops or fashionable bars and restaurants. The hotel offers ample free parking on site.

Very helpful

Lovely courtyard room.

Staff very helpful and provided a last minute late check-out when the baby had a bad night. The parking also made this a very attractive venue!

Newly refurbished but terrible problem with sound travelling between rooms.

Was kept awake most of the night by incredibly noisy people up above. I could also hear next door moving around. When I mentioned this the receptionist said ' yes some people are noisy' when it is actually the fault of very poor sound insulation
