SPA HOTEL WITH NO BEAUTICIAN TO DO THE TREATMENT ***

I booked 2 rooms for me my husband, my son and daughter it was my sons birthday, we don't get much time to spend all together so this was rare occasion for us to get away the hotel looked and sounded great, when I tried to book spa treatments for us I was told the beautician had left and they had not replaced her , That was the whole point of booking that hotel, they never offered us apology or discount, alternative all they were interested in was the wedding that was happening on the Saturday.

we were asked by every member of staff are we with the wedding party and when we said no they seamed to lose interest in us. we went to the pool and waited over ten minutes for member of staff to come we looked around and found some towels and robes then the member of staff came over and told us off for taking them as they were for spa days only but we couldn't book spa day as there was no beautician there the staff member didn't seam to care, when my son asked well what can we do instead she said 'not much really' I was so confused. In the pool area there were only a few cushions on beds an chairs (5-6at the most) so how you were supposed to relax, instead of complaining about it I told my family to just got on with it as I don't like making a scene, which caused friction between me and my husband as he wanted to complain, we were told there was entertainment on Saturday night in the bar at 8pm but was told get there early which we did we were still sitting there at 9.30 and there was no sign of the entertainer so feeling like we had gate crashed a wedding and feeling very uncomfortable as wedding party seamed to have priority over everything they had taken over the lounge were the entertainment would be, we left and spent the evening in our room and had a drink and watched TV. me and my husband were staying in the couch house which was at the front of the hotel it was very small and in need of an update. i requested an iron & ironing board at breakfast after 3 times throughout the day of reminding them they finally brought it about 5pm the maid did not come anywhere near our room I even had to request more toilet paper. My son and daughter however had a much better room more modern clean and much bigger than ours they even had all the goody's you get in a hotel ie: shower gel toothpaste and tissues even bedside lamps for you to read at night, I know some of these are small and petty but that's what makes a hotel feel special. I have paid £320 for the 2 night stay and feel I could have stayed in and have previously stayed in a budget hotel for much less and had a much better experience.
