THE LODGE IS NEAR many excellent places to visit, including grounds and tearooms of Wimpole Hall and the country park run by the Cambridgeshire Wildlife Trust in the grounds of the Iron Age fort at Wandlebury just two miles away. The Cam, the village of Grantchester and Byron's Pool are nearby, as are the many delights of Cambridge itself. THE CITY OF CAMBRIDGE offers some of the best cultural, commercial and medical facilities in the country. King's College and the Fitzwilliam Museum are just two of the finest examples of what is on offer for those who take the time to explore the city.

2 noisy nights
Stayed for two nights and both I was woke up with noise about 1.30am.
Apart from that not too bad abit over priced for What you get.
The website was totally misleading, and misrepresentative.
The plus side was good parking and a frequent bus service to Cambridge outside the door. The room quality was poor, and our twin room was a single with another bed shoved into it, so one could hardly access the facilities. However it was clean on the whole. It reminded me of youth hostels of the 80s, but was actually a closed down elderly care home, with not much refurbishment and very dated. The garden was a rubbish tip. I did wonder if it was a holding operation whilst planning permission was obtained for demolition and rebuild using the surplus land. It served its purpose, but was very disappointing for a family treat weekend. Not that cheap either.
