About the hotel
The Bar at the George is traditionally English and frequented by locals and visitors. It's a place where farmers meet and walkers recover. You will meet all types here.
There is a regular selection of ales from the local Hook Norton Brewery, an inglenook fireplace, stone mullion windows and some historic panels. One of the rooms dates before 1350 when the stonemasons who built the church were housed at the inn. Outside we have a large garden with seating, covered smoking area, small children's play area and a car park. Dogs and children are welcome. We have a childrens policy whereon we request no children sit at the actual bar and that they vacate the bar area completely on Friday and Saturday evenings before 8pm. Children are welcome to be in the restaurant past this time if dining with adults.

Nice set of basic clean rooms, freshly decorated.
Bed comfortable, good amount of electrical sockets, though bathroom could do with some hanging hooks. Location is good, car parking is plentiful. The pub itself is great with a nice beer garden and games room. Friendly staff and locals. Breakfast was excellent and the pub does evening food M-Sa, though there is no shopping nearby if you are there on Sunday. A little bit of noise from the B-road outside and the church bells opposite, but not unpleasant. If you are a light sleeper just bring some earplugs.
Very helpful and friendly pub with rooms.
Lively local customers kept us amused, whilst we had our very enjoyable bar meals. Staff provided us with a self-help breakfast as we had a very early start. Check out nearby church - one of oldest and largest parish churches in Warwickshire.
