Good value, friendly host, fresh coffee on arrival.
This is a good value B&B with a friendly host who phoned us immediately we booked and welcomed us on arrival to a warm house by turning on the garage lights and making a cafetiere of fresh coffee for us, very welcome after a 4 hour drive.
The private bathroom is quite luxurious, bath robes are provided, breakfast was excellent, Wifi works. As with anywhere in Thaxted, fresh air enthusiasts will hear early morning traffic and aircraft noise, but triple glazing blocks this. We came for a funeral, and normally stay with one of several friends when visiting, but all away this night.
