Currently offering 12 well appointed rooms, all of which are en-suite and can be easily made into twin or double accommodation, the Kings is also ideal for families, with 2 larger sized family rooms available. Centrally located, the Kings is perfectly placed for shoppers looking to take a break from Chipping Norton's busy high street, or for those planning a drink and a bite to eat before an evening at the nearby theatre.
The Kings comes to life at the weekends with its resident DJs playing the latest tunes in its busy bar which stays open until 1am on both Friday and Saturday nights.

Not for me
Booked this place at short notice as a stop over point between long journeys.
Not off to a great start as car parking is extremely limited and I had to park some distance away. Not such a problem on arrival as I am fit enough to carry my bags and the weather was fine, but wouldn't be good for elderly or infirm, and in the morning the rain was biblical so I got drenched before going off to work. Bar man was friendly and efficient enough on check in, and showed me to my room. I had booked a single room, so wasn't too concerned at small size (room 7), but it did fail the 6 cobweb test very quickly. Obviously this room hasn't seen a feather duster in quite some time. Bathroom was compact to say the least, and carpet on the floor!. At £55.00 room only, I thought that this didn't represent great value for money. This is a locals pub mainly inhabited by blokes watching the football, so don't bring your wife or girlfriend for a romantic getaway. The bedrooms are above the main bar area so quite noisy until closing time, but also adjacent to a very busy road so noise was a constant problem. Given the adverse first impressions, I chose not to eat here so cannot comment on the quality of the food, but went next door to the Fox, and that was great. Sorry, but not for me.
