I rarely write reviews but this place deserves one.
Wasn't exactly expecting the Ritz staying here but it's easily the worst place I've ever stayed in - I can accept a bit of a drab interior and curtains that barely block out any light... but a mattress that feels like you've got metal sticking into your back, mould in the bathroom, an electric shower than turns from your desired temperature to boiling and then to ice cold whenever it feels like and then wifi that is "not too great in your room" is beyond a joke. I wouldn't let my dog stay here.
Ok for the value
Was in an outbuilding (room7) which is very small but practical.
However wifi didn't reach so had to work in the bar. No bath towel so had to use hand towel in the morning. No hot water from the sink tap so had to shave in cold water.
Evening meal and breakfast were excellent and staff polite and helpful.
