cosy and welcoming

The B&B is a beautiful farmhouse in a lovely setting, at the edge of the North York Moors.

It was a foggy, autumnal weekend and we were most grateful for the offer of a pot of tea on arrival. When it came, it was a full tray including scones and cake, which we consumed in front of the real fire in the guest sitting room. Wonderful. The bedroom was lovely and warm, with plenty of storage space and a good en-suite. Very clean throughout, and the breakfast was generous and tasty.

We spent our evenings in the guest sitting room, where the fire was kept going by the owner, who was friendly and very considerate. Altogether a delightful time. Thank you!

This B&B is set in a large garden, and has rural views all around due to its location right at the edge of the village.

The decor is antique furniture, ornate plates on the walls etc. Ruth the owner is friendly, hospitable and helpful. She gets the real fire going on a cool evening and offers tea and scones. Breakfasts were good. Really there is nothing to fault here, and everything to like.
