Staff very friendly and diligent; Cumbrian hospitality, as usual was excellent.
However, room very noisy during early morning, due to loud running water (i.e showers - loos flushing, TV / radios etc. in the neighbouring room(s), plus people/staff walking/talking along external corridor). Also workmen directly outside the first floor window (i.e using flat roof to store scaffold, tools, materials and equipment including using the flat roof to gain access to repair adjacent roof. Notified reception after first night, but work still ongoing the following morning - couldn't open the curtains, due to workers standing directly outside the room). It is okay if you are on business and up and out of the hotel before 07:00; No goods for midweek breaks. Perhaps we chose the wrong time to stay at Hunday Manor?
