Gorgeous food, shame about the room

The food was stunning, really well cooked; we both had the fish and chips and it was definitely value for money.

Unfortunately, the room let the stay down a little. Although the main room was clean and tidy the bathroom is in need of an uplift, there are some very nasty brown stains around the shower cubicle and the back of the toilet. The bed is also in need of a new mattress, it was uncomfortable and creaked really loudly every time we moved. We would stay again but may be try a different room.

visiting area

My Daughter and Myself booked a room for one night as we had a family matter that we needed to attend. When we arrived we were no shown to our room only given the key at the bar, and told the direction we should head in.

The gentleman behaved as if we were a problem to him, rather than a paying guest. We decided that we would not eat in as we felt uncomfortable. Also because of us saying this, we were asked to pay in full there and then, not after breakfast. The room was clean, and what we expected. The breakfast was good and the lady who served us polite.Overall if asked if i would return i would say no. There were better options near by. We stayed in the area for the second and third night and had much better service at the same price.
