Not value for money
The room had not been hovered, the milk was off and didn't get anymore until we asked, had to ask for another pillow each and got a very musty one.
There was no chef so no evening meals and didn't get offered a cooked breakfast. The staff were great and done there best, but it wasn't worth the money we paid.
A mixed experence.
I had be allocated Room 30, but on arrival at 9pm discovered that room had been allocated to a guest who had arrived earlier.
Adam introduced himself to me and was very helpful and found me the only remaining room, which he informed me was a superior room. It was very old fashioned but quiet and had a very comfortable 4 poster bed - and I had as very good night''s sleep. Breakfast which was included in the rate I paid was a very basic continental one. The toast was thin and warm rather than toasted. The croissant did not taste fresh. The bar area was olde worlde; the bar staff and clientele were friendly...and to reiterate Adam was very good. As I said, a mixed experience.
