About the hotel
The Hotel is situated in idyllic surroundings and is built from the famous mellow Cotswold Stone. The Dial House dates back to 1698 and is the oldest building still standing in the village - it even pre-dates the bridges over the River WIndrush. The Dial House is a beautifully decorated country house style hotel with individually designed bedrooms from luxury four poster beds to our cosy and intimate romantic room.
It is an excellent base from which to enjoy the Cotwolds and villages such as Broadway, Chipping Camden, Upper and Lower Slaughter and of course the nearby Spa town of Cheltenham. If great food forms part of your ideal break away then dine our restaurant where head chef Jamie Forman has been awarded 2 rosettes for his excellent cuisine. Special dining packages are available together with private dining rooms for special occasions. Please note that children under 12 are not accepted as residents at the hotel.

Should be a quintessential Cotswolds hotel but sadly doesn't live up to expectations...
It is a very pretty building in a very pretty Cotswold village, but we stayed for several nights and...
had to be moved as we were initially put in a room next to a continuously noisy fan, then we got locked out one evening (at only 9.30pm) and there was no contact number left in a visible location (cue mobile internet to find phone number), whilst in the breakfast room dishes and plates were frequently left uncollected on our table for extended periods, the breakfasts were fairly poor - to cap it all we couldn't even fit the soldiers in the boiled eggs... which were too hard, and being a vegetarian I was somewhat alarmed at being brought a plateful of bacon one morning. There was never anyone at the bar when we were interested in it. For the normal price of the rooms here you'd expect silver service for everything, but sadly it's far from it. Needs a rapid overhaul of customer service, this one. On the plus side the rooms generally are very clean, and the croquet lawn and summerhouse are rather nice. We didn't use the hot tub.
Room very small for a hotel of this quality of accomodation.
To get into the hot tub there was only household steps which was not very professional. The outside area where the hot tub was not swept the whole time we were there with moss from the roof. Felt it was very poor
