Quality of room was excellent - only en-suite was a little small.
Good quality B & B in a beautiful and convenient location at a reasonable price.
The setting, accommodation and food were excellent, however we did feel that customer service was somewhat impersonal.
After a very cursory exchange as to why we were in the area, when booking in, there was no interaction from any of the staff. All were polite, but not friendly, and we found the checking out procedure of just leaving your keys in a box by the front door, frankly, quite bizarre. There was no spontaneous offer of additional toast or coffee at breakfast, although it was provided when asked for, and no one inquired as to whether or not we had everything we needed or if our stay had been enjoyable. Also with a very nice looking restaurant on site why not provide a sample menu in the room for guests to peruse at their leisure, or at least offer some encouragement to use the facility during their stay. These minor points in making guests feel welcome would make such as difference to this charming property. (Word of warning, the water in the bathrooms is so hot, almost to the point of being dangerous we would think)
