100% would recommend it to a friend
Feel at home
Central Penrith not too easy to navigate through without a sat-nav, but once found it proved an excellent choice, quite roomy, some nice decorative plaster features and sky-light over the stairs, with a friendly welcome, and home-made marmalade at breakfast, served by a lady who obviously is proud to serve quality food.
Perfect for families but I want to go again - just me and the hubby!!
We travelled with our 16, 14 & 3 year old boys.
Felt like home away from home. Greeted with a smile and friendly welcome after 4hr drive. Room was spacious with a double bed, 2 comfortable 'proper' single beds and an extra 'last minute' z-bed (I'd forgotten to inform Crosby that our 3 yr old was joining us which wasn't a problem for them to accommodate too). The room and ensuite was immaculate, not a speck of dust or watermark anywhere. Room was cosy (slightly too warm for us which was easily remedied with turning off radiators) with plenty of lamps and power sockets. The breakfast was a winner all round, fresh fruit and yoghurts, fresh crusty bread, good quality (branded) cereals and fruit juice, top quality Full English ingredients cooked perfect. On-street parking directly in front of the building made it convenient to lug bags in/out. Quiet street just a few minutes walk to centre of Penrith. Absolutely no complaints or criticisms - just praise for a faultless break away.
Ride Across Britain sleepover
Made to feel very welcome upon arrival even though I arrived later than expected.
Ideally located as a stopover or as a base from which to explore a wonderful part of the country.
Very pleasant place to stay
Everything was very good.
I even had black pudding cooked to order for breakfast. The room was clean and well equipped and the owner was very friendly. Would stay again.
