Great value for money
Very impressed with all the staff at the hotel, especially the warm welcome by reception staff. I had asked a note be made that it was a late birthday treat coming away for my husband and we were treated to a complimentary bottle of wine!!!!!! Value for money was superb as was booked into an Executive room which was spacious, modern and clean with all the supplements.

average
I arrived at the hotel and the receptionist was very friendly . Room was classed as an executive but wasnt that much better then a normal double. It was large enough though and the bed was very comfy. Unfortunately the room stank of stale cigarette smoke . It was very quiet room so I had a great nights sleep. The bar and restaurant area is small and quite tired looking. Breakfast was average and i had dinner one night which was quite a sad experience and there wasnt anyone else in the bar or restaurant! Food was acceptable though. Hotel is a taxi cab away from Manchestser (about £8.00) but I could have got a hotel in the centre of Manchester on late deal for the price I paid at the Holiday inn. Not particular VFM.

Excellent overall experience
The hotel was clean and tidy as were the rooms. Most importantly the customer service was excellent:
We needed an iron on arrival and it was brought to our room in minutes. We were able to leave our luggage on departure and return later to pick them up and we needed clean towels on the 2nd morning and they were brought to our room very soon after requested. The shower was quality too. Will be going back to Holiday Inn Central Park if Parklife is in the same location. Highly recommended.

Excellent
Very impressed with this hotel, a little apprehensive staying in the city with my teenage daughter as we had booked this hotel because it was close to the Etihad stadium (seeing 1direction) the receptionist put us at ease saying that it was safe to walk to the stadium and safe also to walk back in the dark. We were given good written directions and also a taxis tel number if we should need it. The room was very clean and warm and the bed comfy - A1 service. Should we be visiting Manchester again I would definitely stay here again. Thank you x

Really nice
I stayed for one night as my sister & I were going to a concert in the arena. Really lovely friendly & helpful staff. Our room was very nice and beds very comfortable. The shower was particularly good. We didn't pay much extra on our booking to include breakfast and we were so glad we did because it was really tasty. There was lots of choice from meats & cheese, to full English so something for everyone we thought. Would look to stay here again next time we are in Manchester. The free car park & wifi were really good plus points too. Overall no complaints at all we were really pleased with our stay. Thank you

The stretch of Oldham Road on which this hotel is situated is perhaps not the most attractive part of Manchester. There are no shops nearby (other than a filling station) but it is only 10 minutes to the city centre by bus and the Etihad campus is just a mile and a half away (£5 by taxi, or a brisk walk). There is ample free and reasonably secure car parking. So this is a good base from which to explore Manchester. Inside, the hotel is clean and relaxing. There is free Wi-Fi. The general décor is a bit bland and even dated and some hall carpets show signs of age or usage but the bar and restaurant are sparkling. The menu is limited but more than adequate and breakfast (a £10 add-on if pre-booked on arrival) is excellent. My bedroom was well-equipped and comfortable and the en suite bathroom was clean on arrival and well kept during my three day stay. Towels were clean and fluffy and there was plenty of hot water. Toiletries are basic as befits a budget hotel but I carry my own shampoo, shower get, and soap. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Overall good value for money and comfortable.

Great nights sleep
I don't do a lot of business travel however I do use large hotel chains a few times a year, generally prior to taking holiday flights.
I was expecting a resonable standard however the accomodation was over and above my expectations. The room was immaculate, the bed was the most comfortable I have experienced in a hotel and made for an excellent nights sleep.
I tried room service in the evening which was delivered by a polite member of staff. The meal (grilled haloumi and cous cous salad with chunky chips) was excellent.
Breakfast was taken in the restaurant where again the meal and service was great.
