One night stay
Booked for our wedding anniversary, impressive building externally and internally, plenty of parking spaces when we arrived.
Greeted by lady on reception quickly and professionally and was allowed to check in early by 2 hours, room was adequate and comfortable if a little basic. Good value for money however.
good base hotel, little dated
The lady on reception pleasant on arrival & got early check in.
Bar area, restaurant etc all nice however hallways leading to rooms very dated. Rooms were clean, comfortable bed , a little dark but for what we paid & the amount of time we spent in the room I was happy with it. Would go back again .
Nice looking hotel spacious and welcoming staff
This was a night away for my 40th Birthday and the whole experience from booking on line for the first time to checking out was fantastic!
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town center.
If you have own transport and are an outdoor person, would highly recommend a trip to Knaresborough.
BEST WESTERN Cedar Court Hotel
The hotel was lovely and the staff very friendly, there is parking.
Quite a way out of the town centre and the weather the day we were there made it out of the question to try and walk it.
The accommodation was beautiful excellent staff very pleasant the food was fantastic gorgeous to taste a brilliant hotel and would recommend to family and friends.
Paid £55 for room only.
great value especially when we managed to get room upgrade with our Best Western membership card. Room clean and smart. Staff friendly. Good nights sleep.
Best Western - not as good as it could be
Little thinks let this hotel down.
The cluttered reception with an layer of dust on everything, the over bright lighting in the bar that gave it the air of an old people's home and the fact that on the second evening there was a distinct smell of urine in my room. I tracked this down to a scatter cushion that had not been there the evening before. I suspect it had been taken away for cleaning but hadn't been cleaned effectively. Also breakfast didn't have enough tables set up so there was a weight. The dining room on the Saturday morning had closed curtains to block out the sunlight - blinds definitely needed on the top half of the long windows. Good clean of the chandeliers and get rid of the horrid purple stuff around the pot plants.
Only stayed one night.
The room is what we expected - clean, comfortable and not too small. Only downside was we were in room 201 which was over the air extractors for the Hotel which were noisy. We had to have the window open as it was warm - ok in the winter but not good for the summer months. I would suggest the Hotel put people in other rooms if they are empty to avoid bad reviews. Reception was very professional - no hanging around and straight to the point. Building is lovely and we would return but would ask for another room.
