The hotel plus staff brilliant can,t fault it and we travel alot
Holt Lodge Hotel
Very good value for money at £64 for a twin room.
The food was great although the drinks were quite expensive at £4.40 a pint of San Miguel.
Room was clean, quiet and the beds were comfortable.
No complaints here.
The rooms are really noisey and the wedding party that was running up and down the halls until 2am was not dealt with
Holt Lodge Hotel
Disappointed to be honest
Staff were brilliant but room was not good value for money bed was really uncomfortable the blinds in our room fell down and the bathroom was Dirty when we arrived.
We were charged 10 pounds each for breakfast and it was one of the smallest and worst cooked breakfasts I have had
My visit to Wrexham
This is my second visit to the Holt Lodge hotel.
I travel across the globe every week, and this hotel is a real gem
It's well run, the staff are very helpful, and the rooms are perfect
Excellent restaurant too
Can't fault the place, and it's no often I would say that about a hotel!
Enjoyed our stay
Everything was great, we asked at checkin if we would be able to extend check out.
They said no but check with us later as there might be nobody in the room on the next day. When we checked "later" we were told no, it's a cleaning policy. It would have been better if they had just said no, that would have been less confusing to us. The hotel is out of the way, although on a road we did not hear any road noises.
Great hotel, could improve the quality of the bed and room, great value and excellent customer service everything was provided and so helpfull with information.
Pleasantly located but would not return
The hotel is set in a pleasant location but I would not return to this hotel because of 2 main reasons, 1) I booked a double room away with my partner and was given a room with a double bed and a single which I would consider to be a family room, they class this as a doudle as I was told 2) You can hear every single noise from the rooms above, for some reason the hotel placed a family with young children above my room and all I could hear for hours was the sound of people running around upstairs, when I asked why they did not place families with small kids on the ground floor in view of the travelling sound, to this they just said we are not to know people have kids even though we were asked who would be staying in the room at the time of booking.
We also clearly stated we were a party of 2 why three beds. The other thing I would need to mention was that a cleaners rather large trolley was left blocking the hall all afternoon and night, in the event of a fire I would think this less than ideal not to mention the amount of people that struggled passed it with bags while I was there. At £64 I would expect more myself.
