Cheap & extremely cheerful!!
We needed a room near the City centre at short notice & found the Diplomats. Great location, £6 taxi ride to the centre. Greeted on arrival & shown to room where fresh towels & even bath robes were provided. The room had everything needed ie tv, fridge, tea & coffee etc. Bed was comfy, if you can survive without en-suite for 1 night then this place comes highly recommended. Breakfast was continental & substantial. It's a family run business & they take pride in their service. We'd would stay again no problem!

Nice little place, went far beyond expectations!
Me and my partner booked in for one night as we were in town for a concert,It said room it was more like a small apartment with your own little foyer,The room itself was spacious and the bed was very comfy, despite it being on the cheaper side there was a lot of room for the money,After the initial check in we didn't need further assistance so couldn't comment on how efficient the staff were but both the guys we met were very friendly. Its very rare to get a room like that for that kind of money and to get a free continental breakfast thrown in (which again was to a high standard) has ensured that if we're ever in that neck of the woods again it will be our first port of call.

The bed and breakfast was extremely clean and as we didn't arrive until late after shopping the night porter was very helpful. The breakfast was very poor, their was 4 pots of jam provided for all the guests and no choice, the pastries were in plastic wrappers with no choice, the ham was very cheap ham and there was no choice of cheese and the eggs were hard boiled, it was continental breakfast in the very loosest of terms

Ferrro Rocher
Huge Room and even huger en-suite bathroom. Very clean and tidy, friendly service.
The small improvements would be - thicker curtains in room the blinds let in a lot of light.

Disappointed to find had to share toilet after booking ensuite. Room adequate but very basic. Breakfast a bit grim but was given discount after not getting what we booked.
