Our stay at Barmouth

We had a brilliant time our first time in Wales,,the hotel was excellent people very friendly ,atmosphere in bar area brilliant, we was told on arrival that we may hear noise from the bar area below our room at night didn't hear anything at all, the breakfast was the best quality and quantity you need to go for a walk before breakfast to build appetite!!.

will definitely be back hope to stay longer next time. :)

Our stay at the tal y don

On arrival we was greeted by bar staff who from the first moment made us feel very welcome, the room was clean and spotless. They even went the extra mile by letting us keep our bags there after we booked out for 4 hours

Lovely hotel

The hotel was within easy access for walking up the hilly area and the beach and town.

Accommodation was spacious and clean. Staff were all lovely and friendly.

very pleasant stay.

Ideal in centre of town. Comfortable proportioned room. Only downside there was no onsite parking, but plenty around area.

Fantastic and friendly gem.

We booked with fairly low expectations due to the photo's on the website.

The rooms have obviously had a makeover and far surpassed our expectations. Very clean, comfortable with all mod cons. What really made our break memorable was the attention and friendliness of all the staff. We were made to feel really welcome and will definitely return.

Barmouth break

There are lots of B & B's in Barmouth.

I only chose this one because it subscribed to Laterooms. Having stayed in B & B's and hotels all over the country, cities, towns, small towns I thought this was expensive by comparison. I do not take breakfast; I did not ask but was not reimbursed for not having done so for the 3 mornings I stayed. When I arrived there was one towel in the room. The room was up 4 flights of steps. it was a good sized double room with nice furniture. There was a shower only and I prefer a bath. The main door to the room did not fit its frame and there was a good one inch gap at the top. The window was a fire escape leading to outside steps and there was alight fixed to the wall immediately outside which seemed to be on at all times. the accommodation was relatively quiet though I expect because of the gap above my door other guests probably heard me on my mobile or heard my TV. I stayed 2 full days and 3 nights. I was out all day each day. On the first day my room was cleaned, bins emptied and 4 new towels left, bed made. On the second day no one had been in my room at all. this was October and although the temperatures were still generally good there was no heating yet on. It may have been that I had the fire escape or the gap over the door, but I was cold in the evening and first thing in the morning. I was warm enough and comfortable enough when asleep. This accommodation is in the high street and very close to the railway station so is convenient. I came and went with no problem but didn't really have any contact with staff because I didn't have breakfast. When I arrived and left my case was carried for me which was lovely.
