Enjoyable stay.

Very friendly staff.

Lovely room. No mini bar though which surprised me. Bar staff very eager to finish up early even though other staff told us the bar wouldn't be closing for a while. But other than that very enjoyable stay in a beautiful hotel.

Short break

Stayed here twice before, which is why we chose to go back.

However, first evening was a bit dodgy with several minor issues that built up into an upsetting experience (they are under going a refurbishment, which I do not think helps). We expressed our concerns that evening and could not be happier with managements response, all issues were immediately dealt with and solved and they went out of their way to make sure that the upset was more than made up for and we then had a fantastic stay for 4 nights.

Nice hotel spoilt by indifferent receptionists

A nice hotel but as with my last stay the receptionist needs a lesson in customer service, it takes mor ethan syaing the right things to make a guest feel welcome.

Another hotel whose breakfast offering is lacking, pre cooked food in a buffet style does not provide a decent cooked breakfast. Room was a great improvement on my last stay. I would happily stay st this hotel again.

Hotel in need of some work

I had booked a Deluxe room but was checked into a standard room.

After a 30 minute wait I was moved to the correct room. This room overlooked the noisy road outsie and to make matters worse the window would not close properly. rather than call reception again I managed to repair the window mechanism enough so it would close properly. Later in the evening I decided to have a bath only to discover the water was a disgusting brown dirty colour which left residue in the bath. The sink in the bathroom also ran the same colour and the toilet would not flush correctly. After an hour of repeated calls to reception I was offered the use of another (single) room to shower and wash in. Not the standard I would expect from a so called four star hotel. The breakfast was perfectly edible but like so many hotels these days it is all pre cooked food which the chef will serve you without the option to order any freshly cooked food. If you have the time I would suggest you walk into Douglas as there are many places serving a superior breakfast for a fraction of the cost. Although I initially had issues with my room and the bathroom, the hotel did resolve these the following day.

In summary a reasonable hotel but not quite worth the cost, the place needs some maintenance work to be completed.
