Great hotel 2 mins from Hammersmith Lyric theatre
Best Western PLUS Seraphine Hammersmith
Good price and nice size room.
However, there wasn't a window in the room, but instead had sky light. Not a huge problem as we were out during the day time, but would have been nice to be told this prior to booking. Otherwise good location. Complimentary breakfast was basic but good to have. Would certainly stay again if the rate remains the same.
Overnight stay in London
We picked the hotel as it was local to Westfield shopping centre (3 short stops on tube) where I had just had eye surgery.
The location want my husband could go to work after we checked in. The room was clean compact and nicely furnished and decorated.
My issue was that the layout of the room meant the head of our bed was against the wall where the next room must have had the TV mounted. This meant most of the afternoon and early evening whilst resting all I could hear was the TV next door. Fortunately they must have eventually gone out for the evening. Under normal circumstances we would have been out at that time anyway. It was also a bit annoying as I then had to have my TV louder to block out theirs. During the late evening I asked about booking a cooked breafast, cost etc but was advised that this was not an option until after 9am as it was the weekend and we hadn't prebooked). We ordered continental breakfast in our room for 8-8.30am to allow time to get to my post op check up at 9.30 but had to chase this up when it hadn't arrived at 8.25. The staff responded quickly and we received it about 15 mins later. This resulted in us having to eat in a hurry and then leave. We had also booked a room for the following week when I have my other eye op. However we have cancelled as I would only stay here again if we got the cheap rates that other reviewers mentioned. For the £119 per night we paid I would have expected more. Our booking for the new hotel next week is £75 for the night.
Good hotel for a short break
We used the hotel for a base during a short break to London, it is in an ideal spot for transport in and out of London, while Hammersmith itself has plenty of bars and restaurants.
The hotel has good facilities, staff are friendly and efficient,
we enjoyed our stay and would stay again next time we visit London.
Two nights at Seraphine
Everything was to our satisfaction but there was too little room between the foot of the bed and the furniture.
We are not out size people but it was a squeeze to get past!
Convenient for theatres.
Delivers all the basics you require for an overnight or city break stay.Allocated an inner room without windows so not disturbed by traffic noise as some other guests experienced. Had an excellent nights sleep. Self service continental breakfast was ok and facilitated a speedy breakfast before departure.
Would stay again for an overnight break but only at a offer price not full.
On a very busy scruffy street but as soon as you enter reception your view will change.
Reception staff very pleasant and helpful (booked taxis for me etc) and the whole place is very clean and smart. The room was spotlessly clean, very well decorated and the bathroom was lovely and had every facility you could wish for. I would not hesitate to use this hotel again and would recommend it highly to everyone.
I paid £134 my brother in law paid £189 when booked the following day !!.
no car parking arrangements
This is a suburb hotel throughout and great vfm.
Don't be put off by the dowdy exterior appearance as this completely belies the interior. Superbly clean throughout. If you don't like this hotel then book the Dorchester and spend a fortune !
Perfect location and an amazing shower!
The hotel was in a perfect location with good access to shops and the tube.
Our stay was very good value for money and I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
