Lovely setting with amazing grounds.
Great little find with a delicious breakfast next day. Only thing to be aware of is that it is a cab ride out of the centre - but well worth the trip!
Say a little different
Rooms small but fully equipped.
Breakfasts great. Evenin meals a little limited choice but high quality.
Madingley Hall weekend
We stayed one night.
Staff were efficient and friendly, the accommodation was fine, bed and bedding very good quality; bathroom fittings could do with updating, however plenty of instant hot water and nice to have the option of a bath. We ate in the bar; there was a good choice of dishes and they were of reasonable value at a tenner each. The location is outstanding - we used to stay at the Wellcome Foundation in Hinxton but they no longer seem to offer this option to the public, mistakenly in my view.
Perfect overnight stay
Easy reach of Cambidge, for end of academic year end student collection!
Very comfy bed.
Smallish room, with very dim lighting, but a few little items - leaking towel rail, dripping iron, faulty light bulbs. Also for that price - it would be nice to include breakfast.
A blend of old and new nestling in countryside just outside Cambridge.
Quiet and relaxed environment with beautiful grounds. Primarily conference and education centre so well setup for groups. Breakfast choice very good.
Excellent value for money
Stayed here around 20 times in the last year and highly recommend this beautiful building in manicured peaceful grounds.
The staff are warm and welcoming, the rooms are clean, well equipped and have high quality cotton bedding and towels. Perfect for study or business with fast wifi, a desk and "proper" desk lighting. A truly excellent breakfast with quality ingredients as you'd expect from University of Cambridge. The evening bar food could be better but a stroll to the three horseshoes nearby never disappoints.
Lovely situation and great breakfast
The main attraction is the lovely building and having a really nice breakfast in the pleasant refectory hall.
If you need something to keep you going before a long day at work this is the place.
A wonderful place to relax in historical surroundings and beautiful grounds.
