Very old inn
If your going to stay here expect a very old and quaint inn. Moderisation in areas as appropriate to a listed building. Our room was warm and most important clean. Loved the experience of staying at this wonderful old inn
Disappointed we did not see a ghost.
Recommend a stay here, very nice, well located. Very good parking rate :)
Breakfast limited and greasy for.my palate, but thats just personal taste.

Beautifully preserved old inn
Really loved this place, which I assume is an old coaching inn. Room was basic, but good value for money with everything I expect. Tuna Steak for dinner and the trad breakfast in the morning very good indeed. Nice to see a lovely survivor in an old city with a few really nice old buildings but too many retail architecture horrors.

New Inn hotel Gloucester
Here for one night for a business seminar in Gloucester and wanted so etching close within walking distance. this is a building full of character and from the outside looks impressive however that's where it ends. The property is fairly rundown and needs some tlc. The accommodation was very basis and beds weren't great - no mattress protector nor valance and thin duvet. Went looking for extra blankets/duvet to reception, it was shut so had to resort to nipping over the courtyard to manager in the pub who provided us with duvet with no cover!!! bar staff in pub fairly hapless and couldn't be bothered. No phone in bedroom and no wifi. Evening in restaurant - food basic but ok....best thing was breakfast

A jewel hhidden in a very noisy City
A magnificent coaching Inn.. For a bargain £ 59 we had B 7 B in the superior " Lady Jane Grey Suite" it was a marvellous room, and full of history with genuine beams and crooked floors and walls.
Wonderfully warm and comfortable.
Breakfast was good and plentiful.
Only ( major) down side is that we slept really poorly because of all the mindless Gloucester muppets turning the early hours of Saturday morning into a war zone right outside the window. There was shouting and screaming, fights and swearing on and off from 1 to 4 a.m.
Can't they afford a police presence in Gloucester on a Friday night/ Saturday morning ? Oh no, they are all up at Minchinhampton Common, eating doughnuts and in their warm armed cars, busy "protecting Royalty"..
So my advice is - DO stay in this magnificent Coaching Inn, but ask to SEE the Lady Jane Grey Suite, but ask to SLEEP in a room at the back !!!

Excellent character inn
The room was in a very old inn of remarkable character. There is no on-site parking, but the character of the building more than made up for that.
Excellent breakfast.
Room full of old beams, but warm and comfortable.
