Reviews - Cwmbach Guest House

4AA Assessed Guest House Ratings explained
CWMBACH LODGE, , NEATH, SA10 8AH
Cwmbach Cottages is one of the quieter places to stay, nestled on a hill side surrounded by mature woodland just half a mile above the village of Cadoxton. Our location is ideal for walking with a network of foot paths which start 100m away and lead into Graig Gwladys Country Park and onto Aberdulais Water Falls.

The Cottages were once six individual cottages, but have now been converted into one; three comprise our living quarters and the other three have been converted to a guest house. There are five en-suite rooms: three double bedrooms; one family room; and one ground floor twin bedded room suitable for wheel chair access - with access to the dinning room. In addition a lounge leads to the garden, decking and fish ponds with lovely views over looking Neath and surrounding area. Private off road car parking is available for up to 6 cars. All prices include: full English Breakfast, (vegetarian option available), tea & coffee facility plus T.V. in all bedrooms.

Mountain Biking

Very popular with Mountain Bikers - only 15 minutes from Afon Forest Mountain Bike Trails. Our facilities include: bike wash area with power washer; drying rooms and secure lock up for bikes.

Eating Out

Just half a mile down the road is a local Pub/Restaurant called the Crown & Sceptre with a excellant reputation where you can have bar meals or a a-la-carte in the restaurant where booking is recommended.

Neath Town is only just over 1 mile away where there are many more places to eat.

Area

We are : just 1 mile from the Town of Neath ; 4 miles off the M4 motorway; 8 miles from Swansea about 30 minutes from: Cardiff, Brecon Beacons, and Carmarthen.

Lovely location and warm welcome. Room very light, airy, clean and tastefully decorated. Toiletries available and a nice touch with a chocolate left for each of us. Food was plentiful. Lawrence was very helpful and welcoming. He advised on things to do in the locality and where to eat.

A perfect honeymoon
We stayed for three nights but would have loved to have stayed for three weeks, or forever. So much to see and do in the area, a beautiful location and Lawrence is the perfect host. Extremely helpful, friendly and goes out his way to give a very professional service. Perfect location, very clean, will leave a lasting and very happy memory, for our wedding in Swansea. The only drawback was, we had to leave!!!

Lovely, friendly b&b, beautiful setting
Set in a beautiful part of Neath close to lovely walks, very helpful owner couldn't do enough, the room was a bit dated and could've been cleaner on the dining room, the breakfast was ok, lovely gardens to sit in and the idea of a communal fridge was excellent!
