Middle of June but central heating on and noisy.
Ok for business trip.
No hot water.
Was told about it but would have thought a discount in order. 2 days with a Luke warm shower. Breakfast on second day sat down for breakfast and was then ignored over others that came in after me. The hotel was ok but a bit shabby. Could do with a lick of paint.
I think the hotel is looking very tired and could do with refurbishment.
This was a superb weekend
My partner and myself were really inpressed with how the staff were so helpful and accocommadating with what we asked, and very socialable we would definitely stay again if thay will have us lol, loved them, (THE STAFF) loved the hotel only critiszm the room was to warm lol, absolutely fab weekend can't wait to go back.
Brecon at its best
I thought that the hotel was very nice, great value for price & graet staff.
Customer service brilliant, needed to change rooms and particular dietary requirements no problem.
Only downside is no parking which was a bit of an issue but wouldn't stop me staying again . When i booked the no parking was highlighted but was told that you could buy a ticket for £2.50 from hotel to use in local car park this is not correct.
We stayed here last year, visiting family.
We enjoyed our stay, so I was looking forward to staying again. The hotel is a little tired, but inexpensive and we felt welcome. My room this stay smelt damp, despite the large, sash window being left open the whole time I stayed (2 nights). There were cracks in the plaster on the walls and ceiling, and evidence of damp on the external wall. Having said that, the room was clean, with towels, toiletries and refreshments. Breakfast was also good, although I was a little shocked when I was greeted with 'Are there two of you?' because I had sat a table set for two, instead of a table set for one. I apologised, explaining that no-one had corrected me the previous morning, to allow the member of staff to apologise, but none was forthcoming. I do like the hotel, and I hope to return and find a better experience, next time, as we frequently stay in Brecon.
Lovely Simple Hotel
Lovely hotel, you can park at a nearby car park £2.50/night but need a ticket from hotel, as parking nearby restricted.
Highly recommend this hotel. .
Warm welcome by staff but a terrible room
The room was clean but worn out and the floor sloped making for a very uncomfortable night.
Wellington Hotel Brecon
very central hotel.
No car park, but worked out fine. Our room was on the second floor, and we found the stairs difficult. As its a listed building, I understand why no lift, but stairs so steep, and a hand rail needed. We didn't find the hair dryer, but it wasn't a problem. A pleasant stay, with comfortable bed, friendly staff, and hot water.
