In need of an update

Unfortunately I found this hotel depressing and badly in need of a refresh.

The furniture in room two and in other rooms I saw was old, shabby and certainly not chic. Little touches that can make all the difference were missing. E.g no coasters anywhere meant surfaces were stained, ring marked or the varnish had worn off. The tablecloths were yellowed polyester rather than white cotton. The decor needed brightening up everywhere. For the cost I would have expected a higher standard. On the other hand the location and views were great and staff were friendly.

Mid week break.

The Conrah is in a beautiful location with stunning views of the countryside.

The staff are most pleasant and attentive. Our room was one of the garden rooms which was large and very comfortable. Breakfasts were freshly cooked, well presented and the service was excellent. We had dinner on two evenings. Service and presentation and quality was good. I would have wished for a more varied menu. Overall we thoroughly annoyed our stay.
