We checked in late & were only staying the one night so we booked a standard room.

The room itself was basic but comfortable. The bathroom needs some maintenance - dripping shower, moisture at the base & dirty grout. The odor of smoke from the pub seeped into our room which made it uncomfortable for both of us. I wouldn't stay there again & I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

An enjoyable stay

New Years Eve is probably not the best night to give a review,as there was a late night party in the bar until late into the early hours.

Calling back the next night however, it had returned to a lovely peaceful venue.. The food was excellent and good portion size, and the staff pleasant and helpful at all times. It is really a pub with rooms, and from experience, usually very good value for money and this was no exception. It was all very clean and a very comfortable bed which resulted in a good nights sleep. Would certainly return if we wanted to stay n the area again. Situated in a quiet and pleasant village,it has easy access to Stratford, without the usual parking problems experienced thee.
