Re visit after 40 years!
We last stayed at The Bear over 40 years ago.
Now there is a new accommodation block at the back where the car park used to be together with a paved area with tables and chairs giving it a somewhat Continental feel. Main hotel has changed little so still has that local warm feeling. Our room in the annex was clean and comfortable. We did not have an evening meal in the restaurant but did have the Sunday lunch which was very good for the price. We would stay again (but would probably not leave it another 40 years!)
The price could have been reduced reflecting better value for money given it was a Sunday night and the hotel was quiet.
