A gem of a find
Last minute booking to attend a social function.
Lovely little hotel in a well serviced part of Glasgow. Within easy reach of popular West End, Subway, buses and main road to Lomond and the Trossachs as well as the city centre. Staff could not have been more attentive throughout my stay. The premises are set within a beautiful terrace and the facilities and breakfast were excellent. Will definitely book again for future trips.
Belhaven Hotel. Cheap but not cheerful
Hi booked what was described as a spacious superior double ensuite in my late rooms confirmation and arrived in a fully booked Belhaven Hotel and given room 18 on the top floor.
This is the smallest room and bed I have ever encountered and at 6ft 4 and 18 stone very little sleep was possible with 2 people in a tiny bed. Asked the next morning to be moved and ended up in room 15 which was much better but initially asked to pay extra as I had originally booked a single?. (Wrong). Room 18 is actually listed on the hotel's own computer as a superior single. Eventually not charged to move to what I had originally booked but no reparation offered for my worst night ever in a hotel. Just told Laterooms must have made a mistake. Didn't want to see my confirmation of superior double for 2 people?.
Could not recommend or return but if you must stay here avoid the top floor and specifically room 18 unless you are a solitary pixie. Only saving grace a reasonable breakfast with pleasant serving staff but my accommodation experience was really awful.
