The First Hurdle Guest House is perfectly placed for visiting the numerous local attractions and within easy walking distance is the Museum which takes you on a tour through Chepstow’s history and Chepstow Castle. The Castle is dating from the 11th century and situated on the imposing cliffs above the River Wye.
Within a short distance you will find the The National Diving Centre the 12th century Tintern Abbey & Chepstow Race Course the home of the Welsh Grand National.
The First Hurdle has 8 en-suite bedrooms, being constructed as two separate houses over 200 years ago. Originally built as numbers 9 and 10, before later being converted into one building.
Through the years it has been a private residence and even a restaurant until it finally became the guest house it is today.
