Best of many stays in York

What can I say.

Immaculate, fresh rooms, big, comfortable bed with a lovely bathroom. Plenty of space. The pub is lovely, yet when you go upstairs to bed, there is no noise whatsoever. The food is to die for. We had a wonderful short break, after lots of walking it was so nice to relax in a well stocked, cosy, traditional bar with a lovely menu before bed. The breakfasts are fabulous.

Easy to find, the parking is really convenient, all the staff, without exception were friendly, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. I've stayed in many places in York over the years but from now on will always be returning to the Rose and Crown. Can't reccomend highly enough.

Lovely pub, great service, breakfast let down.

Very good service.

Evening meal was nice. Bedroom was spacious ,clean, comfortable but the traffic noise is a big minus for us but there is nothing that can be done about that. Breakfast choice was varied but it seems everything was fried not grilled , and this spoiled the food for me. At £79 B&B it was reasonable value.
