Fantastic place to stay!

The kings Head is nestled amongst a quiet area made up of shops, a market and a castle.

The room was clean and well furnished, it even had it's own fridge. The bed was six foot and wonderfully comfortable although the pillows could be bigger. The service and food was faultless and sitting in the inn in the evening was delightful. Highly recommend this place to anyone!

Terrific Village Centre Base

We enjoyed a good and quiet stay in this nice traditional old inn only yards from a small market, an information centre, small castle, various interesting small shops and eateries.

The car park is small but tucked away and feels secure. The staff were all very friendly, low-key and obliging serving a good range of tasty food with some nice ales. It all felt very comfortable and spacious so could absorb large numbers and would be a great base to explore the area on foot or 2/4 wheels although we had just the one night. A bonus was sighting Red Kites several times near the town. Next time we plan to enjoy a bit longer in this enjoyable hostelry and picturesque area.
