Excellent apartment....apart from the noisy bedroom!
The booking process and checking in arrangements were faultless (you have to call 30 mins before arrival to allow the housekeeper to get there).
It was a bit of a faff getting to the actual car park as all the access roads are affected by the road works at the river (not the fault of the owner in any way). Mika, the housekeeper was lovely and ensured she had showed me everything before she left.
With one exception, everything was perfect. Excellent strong WiFi signal which was effective and speedy, lovely clean bathrooms and kitchen, great comfy bed with quality bed linen. Apartment 401 looks to the rear, and immediately onto a flat roof and nearby buildings, but if you look further you will appreciate a spectacular view with Church spires, backdrop of Inverness and even snow covered mountains in the distance. The location makes it very quiet, peaceful and very private. [While River and Street Views are good - I have stayed in other apartments in this complex they do come with a level of noise from the revellers at night. Apartment 401 has none of that]. It is unfortunate to be ending on a negative, but I feel the need to warn other guests. There is a constant noise in the bedroom which goes 24/7 and is annoying at night time. I can only describe it as a hum/constant fan. In fact, on check-in I entered the bedroom and automatically thought the bathroom fan had accidently been left on and went to switch it off. I have to admit, I had 2 nights of disturbed sleep and the second night took me an age to get to sleep and the noise kept waking me up. I would take ear plugs - seriously. I am unsure if the owner can do anything about this (the bedroom is positioned next to the lift, but it was not the working lift that I heard). It sounded like it was coming from the roof - a generator perhaps. Anyway, sadly it would put me off staying again which is a great pity, as otherwise it would be a perfect find in a great location.
Nice good central location, good parking, spacious.
But would of been nice to round the front with a river view.
