About the hotel
The Woolpack Inn has seven recently refurbished and beautifully appointed double en-suite bedrooms named aptly after game birds. With a heavy emphasis on home comfort each of our rooms is stylishly decorated and comes complete with: • King size or twin beds; • Quality bedding and fluffy towels; • Luxurious Bramley toiletries; • Tea & coffee making facilities; • Fridge with fresh milk; • Hair dryer; • Flat screen television; • WiFi internet access; • Gun cabinet; • Safe available on request; • A hearty full English breakfast (included in the room rate). Our kitchen team works hard to prepare a fresh, exciting and seasonal menu.
The menu regularly changes, keeping the core classics and we offer a range of seasonal specials. The chefs make the most of our surroundings and our menu boasts a vast range of local produce, from local game, to trout caught in pristine chalk streams to watercress from nearby beds. In addition to our seasonal menus, we also offer a range of traditional Sunday roasts with all the trimmings. We offer lunch and dinner seven days a week as well as a range of freshly prepared bar snacks. You can choose to dine in our bar area, 50-cover restaurant or heated outside patio. We also have a private dining room which seats up to 14 and has its own garden. It is available for all styles of party. Our bar is the perfect place to relax and sample some of the great drinks we proudly serve. We are big believers in top quality real ales and offer our very own Ramshead brewed by the Marston’s brewery as well as Palmer’s Copper Ale brewed in Dorset. Our third pump is reserved for local guest ales. Our wine list has a broader geographic reach, and with the assistance of a range of suppliers, we have an excellent global list complemented by our ‘Fine Wine’ selection for those looking for something a little extra special. Shooting parties, dogs, families, walkers and cyclists will all find a warm and friendly welcome.

It was a great stay and friendly staff.
Will definitely return. Beautiful place to get away from everything.
Well located, comfortable country break.
Delighted to have found this gem in the heart of the Hampshire countryside.
Initially I booked here for two reasons; firstly it's proximity to the Bombay Sapphire distillery as we were booked on the tour and secondly it is pet friendly.
On arrival the bar is good and staff are welcoming,we were shown to our very tastefully decorated room. These have a wonderful king size bed, this does make the room rather snug, but still space for our dog bed too. The shower is fantastic, plenty of hot water that is dispensed with some power. Too many upmarket hotels have showers that barely flow, leaving you dancing in the cubical just to wash. The quality of the beers, ales, spirits and cocktails is excellent. The menu has locally sourced produce that is perfectly prepared and cooked. Breakfast provided a good choice including vegetarian options. There are plenty of places to walk your dog from the door and the watercress walk starts in Arelsford itself, which is about a ten minute drive away. This is, without doubt one of the most pet welcoming places I have stayed, dogs can stay in your room, the bar or in the restaurant too. We met another couple who also had their Labrador with them and felt the same way. Would I stay again, Yes definitely. I would also be delighted to come here just for the top quality food and drink. I recommend staying here without hesitation.
